How HillTech
came together.
Entered IT
Started a career that would span financial services, insurance, and staffing — building a practitioner's instinct for what actually works inside organizations.
First Agile Team
Began running Agile ceremonies for real teams with real deadlines. Earned CSM certification and started building the toolkit I wish had existed on day one.
Release Train Engineer
Scaled up to SAFe — leading PI Planning, managing ARTs, and coordinating cross-team delivery at the enterprise level. Earned SAFe and ICAgile Coach certifications.
HillTech Partners Founded
Registered in Maryland. Launched to blend AI-powered Agile tooling with curated minimalist tech — built by a practitioner, for practitioners.
I spent years watching professionals — Scrum Masters, PMs, developers, coaches — accumulate tools, subscriptions, and gear that didn't actually serve them. The Agile world in particular is full of templates built by consultants who haven't run a sprint in years, and tech recommendations driven by affiliate margins rather than honest use.
HillTech Partners started as a simple idea: one place, two pillars. HillTech AI for the Agile practitioner who wants tools that work in real sprint rooms — not theory dressed up as product. And Minimalist Tech for the professional who believes the best setup is the one that gets out of the way.
Everything here has been evaluated through one lens: does this reduce friction and increase clarity? If the answer isn't a clear yes, it doesn't make the cut. That applies to a $9 Notion template, a $59 Bellroy pouch, and a consulting engagement.
Family comes first. Everything I build here is with them in mind — the goal is a sustainable business that creates real value, not just another hustle built on manufactured urgency. If the products don't genuinely help you, they don't belong in the shop.
